2 cups pasta (your favorite short pasta shape)

1 lb ground meat (beef or turkey)

3 tablespoons taco seasoning

1 cup salsa

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Directions

Bring a pot of water to boil and cook the pasta according to the package directions. Once cooked, reserve ½ cup of pasta water, drain the rest, and set aside.

In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium-high heat. Once cooked, drain any excess fat and reduce heat to medium-low.

Add taco seasoning and salsa to the skillet, mixing well.

Add the cooked pasta to the skillet along with shredded cheese. Mix everything together.

Gradually pour in the reserved pasta water while mixing until the cheese has melted and is fully incorporated into the pasta.
